Vital Report - St Mirren 0-1 Rangers
St Mirren Park
Rangers' Scottish Championship season continued with a narrow win, but a win nevertheless, at St Mirren Park against St Mirren on Sunday.
11 wins from 11-matches in the Championship were secured when a first half strike from Holt proved enough for Rangers to see off St Mirren, who continue to struggle following Premiership relegation, one-nil with the Gers thankful to Foderingham who made several saves to retain this lead.

Rangers haven't had it easy at any time this season, even with the blinding start that saw some heavy defeats handed out, however in recent weeks things have been even tougher for the Gers with St Mirren starting well.
Foderingham was needed early on as the Rangers 'keeper made a fine save from Agnew's 25-yard effort in the opening minutes, which would have got St Mirren off to a great start.
Thus pressure that St Mirren had couldn't bring a goal with Buddies 'keeper Langfield beaten from a tight angel by Holt (25) when he struck to put Rangers ahead just past the halfway point of the first half, this is a goal conceded that the 'keeper would be disappointed by.
After the goal Rangers were boosted with problems caused, McKay and Halliday causing most of them, and creating chances for the likes of Miller, which the veteran couldn't take to give the Gers the breathing space they could have had.
Miller would have had his goal if an offside call, which could have gone either way, hadn't gone against him as it did.
The second half did see St Mirren have the better of it but the Buddies couldn't beat Foderingham who pulled off more saves to keep out a Mallan freekick as well as another effort from Agnew as the home side battled for a point.
Hibernian had closed the gap on Rangers, winning the day before, but the eight-point lead was restored by the Gers after this win with St Mirren left five-points off the bottom of the table!
