Report: Inverness CT (h)
Rangers were well beaten in a Halloween fright night by Inverness Caledonian Thistle by three goals to nil. It was all trick and no treat for Rangers fans as the Shinnie brothers got the better of them. Andrew, a former Rangers player got the opener, and his brother Graeme rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot.
Andrew Shinnie got the opener in the 27th minute with a cool finish after being set up by Doran. It was close in the first half but Inverness dominated much of the second half and got a second in the 57th minute. Rangers fans were enraged after Raven should have been sent off for a second yellow card but was allowed to stay on and went on to win the corner which led to the goal. Warren headed in from the resulting corner taken by Graeme Shinnie.
Rangers misery continued when they gave away a penalty in the 79th minute. Andrew Shinnie was barged off the ball by Argyriou, and his brother Graeme converted the spot-kick to make it 3-0. It was a night to forget and the semi-final place was not to be.
Next up for Rangers, another cup tie, this time the Scottish Cup against Alloa Athletic.
