After beating Celtic 3-1 last week to maintain our 100% record and extend our run to nine in a row, Rangers lost the record after a 1-1 draw with Inverness Caley Thistle. We are still unbeaten, and we are still top of the league but the 100% record is gone.

Allan McGregor was back in goals after his usual league cup rest midweek which gave Neil Alexander a run out. He lined up behind a back four of Sasa Papac, Madjid Bougherra, David Weir and Kirk Broadfoot. Steven Whittaker was dropped to the bench for this one.

Lee McCulloch and Maurice Edu were in the centre of midfield while Steven Davis was on the right and Vladimir Weiss was on the right. Walter Smith went with Kenny Miller and Kyle Lafferty up front. Steven Naismith was rested with the midweek trip to Valencia in mind.

Maurice Edu, after his exploits against Valencia the other week, found himself on the scoreshet again as early as the eleventh minute. Edu, eventually managing to control the ball, fired in a half volley from 16 yards. Edu really is turning into a quality player now that he is getting a run of games under his belt.

Rangers had chances from Kenny Miller, David Weir and Lee McCulloch as they controlled the first half, but they would end up regretting these missed chances as Inverness came out fighting in the second half.

John Fleck came on for Vladimir Weiss at half-time for his first appearance of the season. It was a welcome return from injury for a young player who we are all expecting so much from. Especially with him being handed the famous number ten jersey.

But Fleck couldn't make an impact on the second half although did have a good chance well saved by Esson after Allan McGregor had been called into action when he turned a Foran header over the bar when it looked goalbound.

Inverness were having a good second half but it looked like Rangers would hang on for a landmark ten straight wins at the start of the season, but Kirk Broadfoot got caught out in possession in his own half by Foran who laid the ball into the path of Odhiambo who finished with ease to give Caley a point.
