Murty - Morelos Deal Will Take 'Barrowload Of Cash'

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has warned suitors that it will take a 'big barrowload of cash' for striker Alfredo Morelos to leave Ibrox this month.

Speaking to Sky Sports following yesterday evening's two nil victory over Aberdeen that saw Morelos grab his 13th goal of the campaign so far, Murty again faced questions with the player linked to a number of English Premier League and Championship sides.

'Unless someone walks in with a barrowload of cash - and a big barrowload - he will be a Rangers player. I want players who have aspirations to be in a better place. Hopefully we can get better at Rangers.'

Murty went on to say.

'But the big prize is to play in the Premier League. You can safeguard your family's future with one move. If we have someone good enough to go there, it's fantastic for us.'

With eleven Premiership goals to his name in his first season at Ibrox following his arrival from HJK Helsinki last summer in a reported £1million deal, Morelos has long been linked with a move to English football with the likes of Aston Villa and Bristol City just two of the clubs linked with a permanent move for him this month.

Given his form for us, and aged only 21 years old, with plenty of room for improvement, it simply has to be a 'barrowload of cash' for us to even consider selling him as we look to improve our league form and hopefully close that gap on our Old Firm rivals.
