Vital View - Premiership, 12th-13th May 2017

The Scottish Premiership season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.

Celtic's win at Aberdeen took the champions onto 100 points and closer to an unbeaten season - Rangers secured third spot.

Inverness are all but down as Motherwell climbed out of the relegation play-offs spot, leaving survival in Wells hands as it stands.

Here's a round-up of the Scottish Premiership action.

Friday 12th May 2017 - SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP
Aberdeen 1-3 Celtic 19:45

Saturday 13th May 2017 - SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP
Rangers 2-1 Heart of Midlothian 12:15
Dundee 1-1 Ross County 15:00
Hamilton Academical 0-1 Motherwell 15:00
Kilmarnock 2-1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 15:00
St Johnstone 1-0 Partick Thistle 15:00

A blistering start from champions Celtic, three up in 11 minutes, saw Aberdeen blown away 3-1 on Friday. This victory at Pittodrie took the Hoops to 100 points for the season leaving them two games away from an unbeaten Premiership season - these two sides will meet in the Scottish Cup final too.

Rangers' 2-1 win in the visit of 10 man Hearts - now four without a win but well set for fifth spot - confirmed a third-place finish for the Gers.

Dundee hit back to earn a 1-1 draw with Ross County, leaving the Dees, who remain unbeaten under Neil McCann, on the verge of confirming their Premiership status, which is something County managed following this point at Dens Park.

Hamilton dropped below Motherwell into the relegation play-off position as the visitors won 1-0, a first victory in three. Second-bottom, Academical were defeated for a third game in a row leaving them three points behind Well, 10th, with two to play.

Kilmarnock, up to seventh, confirmed another season of Premiership football with a 2-1 win over bottom-of-the-league Inverness. A fifth defeat in six for Caledonian Thistle - who have won just once in the last 10 games - has virtually confirmed the basement side to Championship relegation.

A 1-0 win for St Johnstone, in the visit of Partick Thistle, sixth, confirmed fourth-place and a place into the Europa League for a fourth season in a row. Well, the Saints have to come through qualification to be in the competition proper.
