Boyd & Mcleod Could Return For Brora

Kenny McDowall has said he's hopeful that Kris Boyd and Lewis Mcleod will both return to play their part in the game against Brora tomorrow.

The pair both missed the game on Thursday against Buckie Thistle, but it's hoped they will both be in contention for the Dudgeon Park game on Sunday.

Boyd missed the match owing to the fact he was just a little bit behind the fitness of the other players following an ankle operation in the close season, and Mcleod was left out having suffered a minor knock in training and having spent so long out last season with illness, it was decided not to take any risks with him.

Both players have been back in normal training today though, which has given McDowall hope.

Speaking to the Official Site he said.

'Lewis was a wee bit unlucky as he took a bang on Wednesday and we had to leave him out. He's fine now though and after giving him time for the knock to settle down, he's back training again. Boydy is back as well now. He had a wee tidy up operation in the summer on his ankle and hopefully he'll get part of the game in Brora too.'

McDowall says that at this point of the pre season the club are certainly not going to take risks with people and push them too fast as there is plenty of time left for people to catch up and get to where they need to be.

As for game planning for tomorrow, it's likely that manager Ally McCoist will again make plenty of changes at half time, although he decided against two specific different teams against Buckie, to give as many players minutes on the pitch as he can.
