McGregor Pleased With Debut
Summer signing Darren McGregor made his debut for the club against Buckie Thistle and whilst he was pleased with the run out he got, he admits he's still trying to adjust to life at the club.
Having joined us from St Mirren, he came on as a half time substitute against Buckie for Luca Gasparotto and he performed pretty well as his looks to extend his initial one year deal with us.
The 28 year old did tell the Official Site that he was having trouble accepting he was now playing for a team like Rangers, and he just hopes he can [prove his worth to the manager and the fans moving forward this campaign.
'It was great to get 45 minutes under my belt and I'm looking forward to the Brora game tomorrow now. I'm still adapting to the fact I'm a Rangers player though and I still think I need to prove myself. It's incredible to think about where I've come from and where I am now, I'm thankful for the opportunity.'
McGregor goes on to say that it was a good test against Buckie and he felt it was a good run out for everybody who was involved, especially as in parts of the game things clicked and we showed good signs of what should be to come when the players are properly fit as clearly we can only improve and he knows he can only get better and develop more from playing alongside the likes of Lee McCulloch and Lee Wallace.
