Rangers Draw Hibs

The first round of the newly sponsored Petrofac Training Cup was made earlier today at Easter Road, and Rangers have been paired against Hibs.

The first round game will be the first time that the two sides have met since January 2012 where we came out as four nil winners in a Scottish Premier League game.

On our current playing squad only Lee Wallace and Lee McCulloch remain from that day.

Manager Ally McCoist will be heading into the competition hoping that we can lift the Challenge Cup for the first time, after we failed in our push last season when we lost to Raith Rovers in extra time in the final.

The first round games are scheduled to take place on the weekend of July 26th, but a firm date will be announced in due course, but the game will take place at home.
