McCoist Delighted With Returning Stars

With the recent capture of Kris Boyd, manager Ally McCoist has said he thinks it's fantastic that former stars of the club are willing to return to help put the club back where it belongs.

Boyd returns to us on a one year deal, and Kenny Miller joined us a few weeks back for the third time, and McCoist told the Official Site that he was delighted with our moves in the market so far.

'I've got to say I'm delighted with it. You have guys who have an obvious, genuine love for the club and they have suffered watching their club go through what we've gone through in the last two years. It's really pleasing and reassuring for myself and all the staff, and indeed the supporters, to know that great players who have performed for the club before want to come back and help the club through the next campaign. The good thing for us is we have them in early enough that they can do the pre season and get right back into it.'

McCoist says that Rangers is a club that sticks with you when you leave, and for the vast majority, it's a club that remains in your heart and he points to Carlos Bocanegra who can't wait to meet up with us when we go for our American tour, and he knows that the return of Miller and Boyd will give everyone a great boost ahead of our Championship season.

Vital Report - Rangers 0-0 Kilmarnock

McCulloch returned to Rangers, as caretaker of Kilmarnock, and duly took his side away with a nil-nil draw I'm sure he'll take as we failed to score for the first time under Warburton.

Vital Preview - Rangers v Kilmarnock

Having McCulloch returning to Ibrox will add a little extra spite to the occasion yet despite them being the higher league side it you sense Rangers will actually be the favourites.
