Pre Stenhousemuir Injury News

Manager Ally McCoist has given an injury update ahead of the game against Stenhousemuir this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site the headline news is that David Templeton has picked up an injury in training today and he is now a serious doubt for the game.

The disappointing thing for all is that he has been improving in recent weeks and starting to return to the form that the gaffer would have wanted from him, so hopefully if the injury is enough to keep him out of this game, it will only be this game and nothing more long term.

At least so far the only medical opinion is that he took a knock on his leg and it's sore, so maybe some bruising but hopefully nothing more than that.

Nicky Law is also possibly doubtful as he's been suffering with a chest infection all week, following his rest last weekend as he got over a groin strain. He was involved with the lads today, but given the artificial nature of the pitch we will face, McCoist is unsure on whether to risk him this quickly.

In other news, five players still remain out injured and the manager confirmed that Kyle Hutton, Ross Perry and Chris Hegarty will definitely now be out until the new year, and then unfortunately probably for some time then.

Andy Little however is making good progress from the horrible facial injuries he sustained and Richard Foster is making good progress on his ankle problem.
