Sebastien Faure and Jon Daly both have differing opinions on the performance against Ayr, but both were clearly delighted to see Rangers go to 20 wins on the trot.
Speaking firstly to the Official Site following the game, Faure said that he believed that the second half dip Rangers suffered was more down to tiredness than maybe anyone thought given our efforts so far this season, but he was extremely confident the squad would be back on it's toes when we face Stenhousemuir.
The 22 year explained.
'We did well in the first half but in the second we eased off. It was our 20th win in a row though and we are happy. We could have improved on our performance but it was the team's third game in a week. I think the players were maybe a little tired, but we still got the result.'
For Faure it's simply onto the next game now, especially as the players have had the week to recover from whatever tiredness may have crept into their play, so it's all eyes on making it 21 in a row.
For Jon Daly, he focused a touch more on the fact that Rangers have now started finding some winning form in the first half of games after for the majority of the season so far we've secured victories in the second period of the game.
It's quite a remarkable set of stats, but that now means that nine of the last fourteen goals Rangers have scored in the last four games have now come in the opening 45 minutes of games, and for Daly that's a good thing.
'We've had games where we've not scored in the first half and then in the second we've scored a few so we're delighted to score in the first half. We got a couple and kicked on from there. I was delighted to get on the scoresheet again, as I've said all along I've had great service.'
Following that win we now sit 16 points clear of Dunfermline in second place, and being on a run of 20 consecutive wins we have now clocked up 70 goals in that period, but like Faure, Daly is adamant the squad will simply carry on doing what we have been doing to keep that run going as long as we can.
