Rangers have been refused permission to continue with an arbitration process which began under the oldco. Rangers will however continue to fight it and it is by no means an end to the matter.
In lay mans terms, Rangers area trying to get compensation for the players who walked out on them in the summer and found new clubs, but should they not be able to get this arbitration process then they will not be able to fight for this compensation.
Rangers feel they are owed compensation from the various clubs who signed Allan McGregor, Kyle Lafferty, Sone Aluko, Steven Naismith, Steven Whittaker and Jamie Ness.
