McCoist's view on Ibrox name change

McCoist's view on Ibrox name change

Regarding earlier story that Rangers could be willing to rename Ibrox Stadium to the Sports Direct Arena. Manager Ally McCoist has given his view.

The Rangers manager said: "I can appreciate it is a really delicate issue as you would expect and I would imagine it will split fan opinions, if you like. I`ve got to be honest and say my own opinion is I`m pretty open-minded about it. At the same time, I definitely think the fans would have to have a voice on this matter.

He added: It`s a really delicate situation because we saw the reaction of the Newcastle fans and what happened down there. At this moment in time, I`m neither for or against the idea because I understand the business side of it but I see there is history and tradition there too.'

Would you be one to a name change? Please vote in our poll --------->

In our last poll we asked if you favour the SPL plans for a 24 team SPL or you would prefer the SFL 16 team model. A mammoth 98% of you said you would prefer the SFL set up. Although hardly surprising considering the SPL shafted us. Thanks for voting.
